The captivating art exhibition and narrative explore the vibrant realm of virtual art through the groundbreaking work of four visionary artists: Zeng Chen (reimagining Shadow Play), Polaris (transforming Theatrical Scenery), Li Tianzhi (reinventing Pop-Up Book), and ReVerse Butcher (deconstructing Collage).
Drawing inspiration from diverse traditional art forms, they unveil their exquisite virtual creations, offering a glimpse into their creative processes and inspiring broader interdisciplinary exploration.

Curator
Jessien studied Architecture during undergraduate and postgraduate period. While studying at University College London, he started creating VR experiences. Jessien’s works aim to explore the narrative language of Virtual Reality as a new medium. Since 2018, his VR projects have been selected or won awards at various international film festivals.
Artist
ZENG Chen
As a post-90s rising star in new media visual art, ZENG Chen’s works primarily focus on the exploration of existential changes and interactions of virtual age concepts in new contexts, as well as the discussion of authenticity. By applying various forms of artificial intelligence technologies, he attempts to explore new collaborative models between art and technology.
Polaris
Polaris is a engineering student who enjoys expressing art through 3D creations in his spare time. He seeks to explore the common ground between technology and art through his understanding of both fields. His work primarily focuses on environmental art and virtual fashion. Most of his creations are reinterpretations of the beauty he observes in everyday life, driven by a deep desire to express his aesthetic sensibility.
LI Tianzhi
LI Tianzhi is a illustrator, part-time architect, and video production enthusiast. His works focus on the field of new Chinese style illustration. Through the ingenious integration of traditional elements and modern creativity, he explores the new presentation and value extension of Chinese style art in a contemporary context, forming a unique personal system in illustration style, composition, and color application.
ReVerse Butcher
ReVerse Butcher (rVb) is a VR/AR/XR artist & poet. She makes virtual sculptures, films, music, performances, collages, unique artist’s books, & immersive experiences. rVb makes bold & experiential artworks that think & behave like interventions. Through creativity, rVb explores the complexity & necessity of existing across multiple worlds.
